BLEP: What a rush!

Pretty busy month. Not just in my life, although there too. I spent a lot of time working on one project, and then decided it wasn't going to be done enough to satisfy me in time for the #1GAM deadline.
So a couple of nights ago I started playing around with some pixels, intending to make a game where you watch a cat's face move and wiggle about until you see it do the blep thing (where the tongue slides out juuust a little). At that point you would press a button and be rewarded if you caught a good 'picture' of the blep.
I still like this idea, but I couldn't think of a great way to do it, honestly. Everything felt a bit contrived, or silly, or something. During my testing of the systems, I added player controls to move the eyes and nose around a bit, and realised that even at the very low-fidelity quality I have here, you can get a lot of laughs out of moving the eyes especially. It's remarkable how much a few pixels of difference can change the expression of the animal face completely. I loved it very much right away, and wanted to make the customisation accessible to players instead of building a half-baked game idea around it. So I drew some new faces and added more tools to change them, along with a randomiser.
I'm super happy with how it turned out. Please show me your animal faces if you play around with it! Tweet to @PROGRAM_IX if you want.
